Tracking a warm and dry Monday, t-storm chances mid-week

Gray and damp conditions Sunday afternoon will give way to partial clearing and a dry-out for the evening and overnight hours as a disturbance exits Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas. The drying trend continues Monday along with warmer temperatures and increasing southerly winds, occasionally gusting over 30 mph by Monday afternoon with highs in the low to mid 80s and a partly cloudy sky. Scattered t-storm chances return late Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures remaining well above average. A few storms may be severe by mid-week as a series of low pressure systems tracks across the Central Plains and parts of the Midwest.
