Tracking a windy & warm Monday

Good morning and happy Monday!

As you head out the door this morning, temperatures are in the upper 60s with warm, humid conditions. Winds are already out of the southwest, gusting into the upper teens and 20s. Gusts will continue to increase throughout the day, shifting out of the south and reaching up to 40 mph, making for a very breezy Monday.

Conditions will remain mostly dry with partly cloudy skies through the day. However, rain and thunderstorm chances return Tuesday afternoon and evening.

We are under a slight risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather Tuesday night. The main threats include gusty winds and small hail. Another round of strong to severe thunderstorms is possible Wednesday afternoon, also under a Level 2 risk, with damaging winds and hail as the primary concerns.

Friday into Saturday is another period to watch for stronger storm potential.

Temperatures will stay in the upper 70s to low 80s through much of the week before cooling down heading into the weekend. Highs drop back into the upper 50s by Saturday, with 60s returning on Sunday.
