Tracking a mostly sunny and warm Memorial Day Weekend

Despite lingering clouds across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Saturday, mild and dry conditions have prevailed with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s and light breezes. Skies clear gradually tonight with lows falling into the mid to low 50s. Sunshine returns in a big way both Sunday and Memorial Day, with warmer air also building across the region. Afternoon highs will rise well into the 80s on both days, with steady southerly winds at 10 to 20 mph. Warm air lingers into the middle of next week, although scattered rain and thunderstorm chances are anticipated to return late Tuesday and continue for the next several days in the extended forecast.
