Tracking a warm and windy Wednesday

Get ready for a big time warm up on Wednesday as summer heat makes a strong return to Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas. We will start the day with a mixture of sun and clouds but temperatures will quickly reach into the mid 90s by the afternoon.

Thunderstorm chances increase during the afternoon and evening hours. Some of the storms could become strong to severe to the south of the St. Joseph area.

Windy conditions will develop throughout the day, adding top the fire danger and making outdoor activities feel even more uncomfortable.
