Tracking weekend rain and t-storm chances

Rounds of rain and thunderstorm activity is expected late Saturday and into Sunday across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas, as a low pressure system slowly tracks through the region. A few storms may be severe Saturday night, with damaging winds and hail the primary hazards. Locally heavy rainfall could also lead to flooding, especially on Sunday. A Flood Watch is in effect for the entire viewing area from 7 p.m. Saturday, June 20 through 7 p.m. Sunday June 21. Rain chances are expected to increase after 4 p.m. Saturday and remain moderate to high overnight, and continue into Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon will offer a few breaks in the wet weather, with spotty t-storm chances lingering and highs near 80 degrees.
