Tracking a sunny and warmer Saturday

After a warm and muggy start to the day, Saturday will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine across much of northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri. Temperatures will climb into the mid 80s, but the humidity will make it feel much warmer than that.

Most of the day looks dry, however as we head into the late afternoon and evening, there is a slight chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop. Not everyone will see the rain but any storm that does form could produce brief heavy downpours.

Looking ahead, the heat will start to build back into the area on Sunday and temperatures will soar back into the lower 90s.
