Tracking a warm and muggy weekend, lingering t-storm chances

Warm, muggy air and passing t-storm chances will persist through much of the weekend across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas, as a series of disturbances tracks through the region over the next 24 hours. Scattered t-storms, mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid 80s Saturday afternoon will give way to more widespread thunderstorm activity late tonight through early Sunday morning. A few storms may be severe with gusty winds, hail, and locally heavy rainfall the primary hazards. Rain chances will diminish through the day Sunday with partly to mostly cloudy skies, northerly breezes, and afternoon highs in the low to mid 80s.
