Tracking a dry and frigid Monday, mid-week warming trend
Winter’s chill continues to grip Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas for the final day of the weekend, as temperatures have been well below freezing since Saturday evening. Polar air will remain in place Sunday night and Monday, with lows falling into the single digits and wind chill factors near zero by day-break Monday under mostly clear skies. High temperatures rise into the mid 30s Monday afternoon with light winds and lots of sunshine. Much warmer air and an increase in cloud coverage arrives Tuesday, as southerly winds allow temperatures to rise well into the mid to upper 50s. Mild conditions are anticipated to stick around through much of next week, with a chance of showers late Wednesday and otherwise dry skies.Â
