Tracking a gloomy and cooler Tuesday

Good morning and happy Tuesday.

Out the door this morning, it’s on the chilly side, with temperatures cooler than what we saw yesterday. We’ll stay cool throughout the day, with highs only reaching the upper 50s under breezy and overcast conditions.

A winter weather advisory is in effect this morning for the far northeastern portions of our viewing area, including Harrison, Mercer, Putnam, Sullivan, and Worth counties in Missouri. The advisory remains in place until 1 p.m. due to snowfall and winter weather conditions.

Much of the St. Joseph region will miss out on the winter weather, but scattered showers and cool temperatures are expected throughout the day.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, we’ll see a significant warm-up, with highs returning to the 70s under partly cloudy skies. Rain chances will increase overnight and continue to ramp up through the rest of the week, with several days featuring elevated chances for precipitation.
