Tracking sunshine & windy conditions Tuesday

Good morning and happy Monday! As you head out the door this morning, temperatures are sitting in the upper 50s to lower 60s with breezy conditions. Winds out of the south-southwest are gusting between 20 and 30 mph.

Today will be another mostly sunny and warm day, with afternoon highs climbing into the middle 80s.

A cold front will move near the area tonight, bringing slightly cooler temperatures for Tuesday. However, the cooldown will be limited, with highs only dropping a few degrees into the upper 70s.

Dry conditions are expected to continue through Wednesday, with rain chances returning Thursday afternoon and evening and lasting into Friday.

We are also watching the potential for thunderstorms Thursday afternoon through Friday. At this time, the area is under a Level 2 out of 5 severe weather risk, or a slight risk, for a few strong to severe thunderstorms.

Scattered showers are expected to continue through the weekend and into early next week as well.
