Tracking a summer-like Wednesday

Good morning and happy Wednesday!

Temperatures are starting off on the comfortable side this morning, with lows in the middle 60s to low 70s. Light south winds are helping usher warmer air back into the region, but humidity levels remain relatively comfortable to begin the day.

Expect plenty of sunshine through the morning and afternoon as highs climb into the low 90s. While it will be hot, humidity will stay lower than what we experienced last week, making conditions feel a bit more tolerable. If you plan to spend time outdoors, be sure to stay hydrated and take breaks from the heat.

Cloud cover will begin increasing tonight ahead of our next weather system. A cold front will move through late tonight into Thursday morning, bringing widespread showers and a few thunderstorms. Rain is expected to impact the Thursday morning commute before becoming more scattered through the afternoon. Most locations can expect beneficial rainfall, with locally higher amounts possible in heavier downpours.

Behind the front, temperatures cool slightly, with highs returning to the low 90s Thursday and upper 80s by Friday. Additional chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast through the end of the workweek before drier weather returns this weekend.
