Tracking a sunny and toasty start to the week

Sunny and seasonably warm weather is slated to start the work week across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas, as afternoon highs rise by a few degrees Monday and Tuesday. Humidity will also be on the increase, ahead of rain and thunderstorms chances that arrive Tuesday night and Wednesday as a front moves through the region. Mid 80s and sunshine Sunday afternoon will give way to a clear and cooler night with lows in the low to mid 60s after midnight and light winds. Sunshine prevails Monday with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s and southerly breezes at 5 to 10 mph.
