Tracking a hot and humid Tuesday, returning rain chances

Heat and humidity will continue to build across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas through Tuesday, before rain and thunderstorm chances return Tuesday night and Wednesday as a front passes through the area. Conditions remain completely dry Monday with mostly sunny skies, light southerly breezes, and highs in the mid to upper 80s. Dry skies continue Monday night with a slight increase in cloud coverage late, and lows falling into the mid to upper 60s after midnight. Tuesday brings a mix of sun and clouds, more southerly breezes, and afternoon highs near 90 degrees. Feels-like temperatures Tuesday will peak in the mid to upper 90s with a humid airmass in place. A 20% chance of t-showers will develop Tuesday evening, before rain and t-storm chances climb to 60% by Wednesday.
