Tracking scattered showers & cooler temps Wednesday

Good morning and happy Wednesday!

A few showers and thunderstorms are possible today across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas as a cold front continues to move through. St. Joseph and areas farther north should stay cooler, while locations near and south of I-70 could still see temperatures climb into the 90s.

Scattered showers and storms will continue drifting south throughout the day. A few strong to severe storms are possible this afternoon and evening, with the main threat being strong and damaging wind gusts.

Thankfully, the prolonged heat is finally coming to an end! Cooler and more seasonal temperatures arrive Thursday, with highs in the 80s continuing through the weekend.

More rain and thunderstorms are possible Friday night and Saturday night, giving us additional chances for much-needed rainfall.

After one more warm day for some areas Wednesday, much cooler weather is finally here!
