Flood Warning issued June 5 at 8:14PM CDT until June 10 at 11:40AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Missouri…

Platte River near Agency affecting Buchanan County.

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Missouri…

Platte River near Platte City affecting Platte County.

Platte River At Sharps Station affecting Platte County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Platte River near Platte City.

* WHEN…From late tonight to late Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 20.0 feet, Cropland near State Highway 92 near Platte
City begins to flood.
At 22.0 feet, Flooding occurs at Humphreys Access Area which is
located 5 miles downstream from Platte City. 300 acres of pasture
are also flooded.
At 25.0 feet, Water overtops 1st Street in Tracy, Missouri.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 10.5 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tonight to a crest of 23.6 feet early Monday morning. It
will then fall below flood stage late Tuesday morning.
– Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
