Extreme Heat Warning issued July 1 at 1:56AM CDT until July 4 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Topeka KS

* WHAT…Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 104
expected.

* WHERE…Anderson, Coffey, Douglas, Franklin, Osage, Shawnee, and
Jefferson Counties.

* WHEN…Until 8 PM CDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS…Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
