Buchanan County to hold Public Meeting to Identify Natural Hazard Risks and Mitigation Strategies

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) — In a press release from the Mo-Kan Regional Council, Buchanan County plans to update its hazard mitigation plan.

The document identifies natural hazard risks facing the community and outlines actions to reduce damage to people, property, infrastructure, and the environment.

As part of the process, the county invites residents, business owners, and community members to participate in a public meeting.

The public meeting on the hazard mitigation plan is on Tuesday, April 21st, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Mo-Kan Regional Council, located at 224 North 7th Street in St. Joseph, Missouri.
