Savannah, Mo. man sentenced for child sex trafficking

ANDREW COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- A Savannah, Mo. man has been sentenced for child sex trafficking.

On Monday, Jan. 26, Ross Rutherford, 33, was sentenced for two counts of second-degree child trafficking in Andrew County Court.

According to court documents, Rutherford was sentenced to 30 years in the Division of Adult Institutions of the Department of Corrections for Count I and 10 years for Count II. 

Court documents state that Rutherford said Victim #1 sent him "suggestive pictures' of herself in May 2024. He said in his plea statement that he sent the victim money more than once and the victim was under the age of 18.

Rutherford also stated that he asked Victim #2 in January 2025 to send "nude pictures of herself," according to court documents.  The second victim was under the age of 18.
