Albany girls hoops defeated by Barstow in Class 2 State Sectionals

(ST. JOSEPH, MO) - The Albany High School girls basketball team's magical season came to an end on Monday night. The Lady Warriors fell 53-21 to Barstow in the Class 2 State Sectionals at Benton High School.

The Lady Knights dominated from practically start to finish, Albany was held to just three points in the third quarter.

Barstow was led by freshman Bristol Sanders with 15 points, followed by freshman Anna Taylor with 12 and senior Chloe Red Legs with 10 points. Albany was led by junior Jayden Hillyard with 7 points and sophomore Maddix Epperly with 6 points.

The Lady Warriors finish the season with a 22-7 record, the furthest the team has made it in the post season since 2000.
