Weishaar’s 19 guides #1 Central Missouri to MIAA Tournament Championship game

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KQTV) — The top-ranked team in the MIAA Women's Basketball Tournament will play for the tournament title on Sunday.

#1 Central Missouri defeated #4 Missouri Southern, 60-45, in the semifinals.

Former Riverside Cyclones standout Taylor Weishaar led the way for UCM with 19 points and eight rebounds.

The UCM sophomore was 8-of-15 from the field including 3-of-6 from three.

Former Chillicothe Hornet —Jolie Bonderer — finished with seven points in 13 minutes.

Rylee Vierthaler, a former Maryville Spoofhound, saw 17 minutes of action. She had two points and two rebounds.

Central Missouri will face #3 Washburn at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City.
