NWS confirmed touchdown of EF-0 in KC on Friday
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KQTV) -- After 11:30 pm on Friday, March 6, an EF-0 Tornado made its way from Shawnee, Kan., to Kansas City, Mo., according to the National Weather Service of Kansas City.
The post on social media confirmed that the tornado traveled in a straight line through severe thunderstorms.
The tornado was reportedly on the ground for around 10 minutes, from 11:34 pm to around 11:45 pm. The recorded maximum width was around 50 yards, with peak winds of 75 mph.
Its path ended just before Westport.
