Tracking a warm and sunny Monday, t-storm chances Tuesday

Sunshine and mild air have made for a pleasant Sunday afternoon across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas. Above average temperatures and lots of sunshine are in store for Monday, with southwest breezes and highs in the mid to upper 70s. Tuesday will remain warm ahead of a low-pressure system expected to bring rain and thunderstorm chances late Tuesday afternoon and into the overnight hours. While a few stronger storms are possible, the best risk for severe weather is south and east of I-35 at this time. This could change depending on the track of the approaching low pressure system. Stay tuned for updates over the coming days.

Tonight: Mostly clear and breezy. Low 44.

Monday: Mostly sunny and breezy. High 76.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy, 60% PM t-storms. High 80.
