ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The Saint Joseph Symphony is presenting its "Tour De France" show on April 25.

Joining the concert will be renowned guitarist and St. Joseph native, Anthony Glise.

The event has been described as a "homecoming and a cultural bridge between two beloved places".

Glise is set to take the stage for the midwestern premiere of his Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra, The Globe Rooms.

The concert's vision is to transport audiences from the pride of St. Joseph to the heart of France by pairing Glise's evocative concerto with the romance and sophistication of French culture.

"Tour de France is more than a concert," Executive Director Nancy Schmidt-Brunson said. "It's a tribute to one of the greatest living musicians St. Joe has ever produced."

Tickets are available at saintjosephsymphony.org.
