Fire inspection crews work to find the cause of a fire that killed one person at 807 N. 10th St. Wednesday morning.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) — One person was killed, and several others were injured in a Downtown St. Joseph fire Wednesday morning.

According to a St. Joseph Fire Department Facebook post, the fire happened around 6 a.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of North 10th St., one person was killed due to the fire.

SJFD said in the post that it was a multi-family complex and several people were taken to the hospital with various injuries.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
