Missouri Senate passes Bill to offer sales tax exemption on infant care supplies

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KQTV) -- The Missouri Senate Economic and Workforce Development Committee has voted Do Pass on Senate Bill 872.

The act would authorize a sales tax exemption for needed infant care supplies.

Items that would be eligible for tax exemption are baby bottles, wipes and breast pump supplies.

The bill will be debated in the near future by the Missouri Senate. If the act is passed, it would take effect on Aug. 28, 2026.
