Benton looks to punch ticket back to Class 4 Final 4 Saturday night

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) — The Benton Cardinals boys basketball team is one win away from a return to the Class 4 State Final 4.

The Cardinals (28-1) take on St. Michael the Archangel (20-10) at 6 p.m. at North Kansas City High School Saturday night.

Benton is coming off an 81-45 victory against Smithville in the Class 4 Sectional round Tuesday night.

With a win Saturday night, the Cardinals will make their second consecutive Class 4 Final 4 appearance. Benton finished 29-4 in 2024-2025 with a Class 4 second-place finish.
