MoWest’s season comes to an end in the NCAA Tournament against St. Cloud State

TOPEKA, Ks. (KQTV) -- An exciting season for Mowest men's basketball team comes to an end after losing to St. Cloud State in the NCAA Tournament, 83-65.

The Huskies got off to a hot start by jumping out to a 10-2 lead just three minutes into the game. The Griffons were playing from behind and could just never swing enough momentum in their direction.

Freshman Marko Pavlovic led the way for MoWest in this one with 21, while freshman Bode Goodman had 16. On the other side of things, St. Cloud State had four players with double-digit scoring. The top two scorers for the Huskies were sophomore Luke Winkel with 22 and junior Wyatt Hawks with 17.

In his first year, head coach Brooks McKowen led the Griffons to a 21-12 season and a NCAA Tournament appearance for the first time since 2021.
