1 man arrested after vehicle pursuit near Faraon Street

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Local law enforcement participated in a vehicle pursuit Tuesday, which started near the North Belt Highway and ended in a residential area.

Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 39-year-old male driver of a GMC Acadia, failed to yield at a traffic stop for a trooper and began to speed off.

The suspect crashed his vehicle shortly after the pursuit began, in the 1400 block of Faraon Street.

MSHP and the St. Joseph Police Department blocked off the area to apprehend the suspect. He was taken into custody around 1:12 p.m.
