Tracking scattered showers today

Good morning and happy Thursday.

As you’re heading out the door, temperatures are back in the low 40s—so you’ll want the jacket this morning.

We’ll warm up into the mid to upper 60s this afternoon as a frontal boundary moves through. With that, a few isolated to scattered showers and storms will be possible, mainly across the southern half of the viewing area.

These showers will be spotty in nature, so not everyone will see rain, but the chance is there. The best timing looks to be between about 2 and 5 p.m., with a few storms possibly lingering into the evening hours.

We’ll dry out and clear overnight, with cooler air settling in for Friday. Highs will return to the low to mid-60s.

Looking ahead to the weekend, temperatures warm back into the upper 60s on Saturday—just in time for the Apple Blossom Festival—and climb into the upper 70s by Sunday.

Rain chances return Sunday night into Monday, and again Monday night into Tuesday. Tuesday is shaping up to be the better chance for more widespread rain.

We’ll cool back down from near 80 degrees early next week into the upper 60s by Wednesday.
