Tracking Monday sunshine, scattered strong storms possible Tuesday

Monday sunshine and a break from humid air have made for a fair start to the work week across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas. Dry skies will prevail this evening and overnight with lows falling into the mid to upper 60s and increasing clouds late. Scattered t-storm chances will return Tuesday, bringing the risk for severe weather to the region as a front passes through the area. Primary hazards will be pockets of hail and damaging winds, with an isolated risk for a brief tornado as well. Temperatures Tuesday will warm well into the mid to upper 80s, before rain and t-storms develop later in the afternoon and evening. Spotty rain chances will linger Wednesday, before a trend for the drier and warmer side late-week.
