Triumph Foods donates $25K to SJSD language programs

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Triumph Foods announced it is donating an additional $25,000 to the St. Joseph School District to continue its support of advancing Regional English Language Development and technical skills.

The company has donated $100,000 since 2023, which has been split evenly each year.

SJSD uses the donations for multiple programs that provide interpretive services, community resources and cultural support for students and families who come from other countries and who don't speak English as a first language.

"Triumph's contribution to the school district makes St. Joe a better place to grow, live, and work," said Josh Kleinlein, the chief financial officer at Triumph Foods. "Working closely with SJSD helps us identify and devote additional resources to help our local educators in a shared goal to help students and families thrive."

According to a news release from Triumph Foods, the company has supported SJSD through donations, grants and leadership programs. The district meets with the company annually to review student impact and discuss future needs.

"We're grateful for Triumph's investment and their partnership with the St. Joseph School District in strengthening support for our English Language Development students," SJSD ELD Coordinator Michelle Schulze said. "Together, we're creating more opportunities for students to build English proficiency and thrive both in school and in our community."

Triumph Foods said it will continue to look for ways to support the community and the school district.
