Community Behavioral Health Alliance seeking community responses

Community Behavioral Health Alliance

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The Community Behavioral Health Alliance has been awarded grant funding to partner with Crowe LLP, a national consulting group, to build a behavioral health and substance use disorder needs assessment across a nine-county area.

The Alliance is asking community members to help distribute surveys and QR codes to identify gaps in local mental health services.

Organizers want to hear from residents of all ages, economic backgrounds, and demographics to better understand perceived barriers to care.

In addition to the survey, Crowe will collect data through focus groups and stakeholder interviews, available both in person and virtually.

In-person focus groups can be scheduled during the following dates: May 5 through May 8, the week of June 15, and the week of June 22.

Organizers said the goal is to make meaningful changes to mental health services by gathering as much community input as possible.

Residents and agencies are encouraged to take and share the survey link found here.
