Ribbon-cutting ceremony for new women’s health clinic at Mosaic Medical Center

MARYVILLE, Mo. (KQTV) -- Mosaic Medical Center celebrated the opening of its newly completed women’s health clinic with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday.

The ceremony kicked off at 11:30 a.m. in Maryville, Missouri.

The new space is designed to expand and enhance access to comprehensive care for women throughout the region.

The clinic will start seeing patients on Tuesday, May 12.

Mosaic Medical Center Director of Development Megan Jennings said communities across northern Missouri continue to face major challenges when it comes to women’s healthcare access.

“That often comes in what we call maternity care desserts where a lot of patients don’t have access to OBGYN services,” she said.

She added how Missouri continues to rank high in maternal deaths each year, which pushed Mosaic to take action and become part of the solution for the region.

With so many rural healthcare hospitals closing their doors to maternity care services, she said they need this to stay and be a part of the solution.

“We are here for you and every woman will be served here no matter what your ability to pay is and no matter what you come with because you will be well-taken care of,” Jennings said.

Local birth doula Amanda Twaddle said she was excited to see the expansion and wanted to support the new women’s health space as a 2026 ambassador.

“I have helped a few clients deliver here and its been a very positive experience and the staff has been great, the doctors are amazing and i am so excited to have women their own space here,” Twaddle said.

Twaddle encouraged women in every stage of life to come explore the center and learn about the services available.

She said women can visit the center for a wide range of healthcare needs, whether they are pregnant, trying to conceive, going through menopause, or simply looking for routine women’s health care.

“Its very important like they were talking about it earlier we are witnessing a lot of maternal desserts around the region and so having a space like this with all the innovative technology for women to have access to,” she said.

New mom Chloe Nally said she attended the ceremony because of the positive experiences she had delivering both of her children at Mosaic.

“They all went above and beyond my expectation and I can’t wait for other women in the community to be able to experience the care they offer,” Nally said.

The Mosaic team said the new space reflects their commitment to keeping quality rural healthcare close to home, so women throughout the community feel valued, supported and heard.
