Tracking a warm Tuesday with light rain chances

Good morning and happy Tuesday.

As you’re heading out the door this morning, temperatures are significantly warmer, with lows back in the low 60s. Gusty southwest winds are helping bring in that warmer air to start the day.

A cold front will begin moving through northwest Missouri late this morning into the early afternoon. Along that front, we could see a few light, scattered showers through the late morning and afternoon hours before rain chances wrap up by this evening. Not everyone will see rain, but a few sprinkles are possible as the front moves through.

Cloud cover will increase through the day before gradually decreasing closer to sunset this evening.

Even with the cold front, temperatures will still climb into the upper 80s this afternoon. Cooler air arrives tomorrow, with highs dropping back into the low 80s under mostly sunny and dry conditions.

Rain chances return late Thursday and continue into Friday, but temperatures will continue warming back into the 90s heading into the weekend.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms remain possible through the weekend and into early next week.
