Flood Warning issued May 18 at 8:51PM CDT until May 24 at 1:12AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Missouri…

Grand River near Sumner affecting Chariton, Livingston, Linn and
Carroll Counties.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Grand River near Sumner.

* WHEN…Until late Saturday night.

* IMPACTS…At 37.0 feet, State Highway 139 floods a half mile east
of Sumner.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:45 PM CDT Monday the stage was 34.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 36.6 feet
Wednesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early
Saturday morning.
– Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
