Tracking a cool & gloomy Tuesday

Good morning and happy Tuesday.

As you’re heading out the door this morning, we’re still dealing with storm damage along with wet and damp conditions across the area. Strong thunderstorms moved through northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas yesterday evening, bringing damaging wind gusts and localized flooding.

There have been several reports of elevated rivers and creeks, downed tree limbs, power outages, and power lines down across the region. If you’re heading out this morning, be cautious of any storm damage that may still be impacting roadways before cleanup crews can get to those areas.

A cold front moved through behind the storms, and the remaining rain is continuing to push off to the southeast. Temperatures will stay cool today, only warming into the mid-60s under cloudy and gloomy conditions.

We’ll remain in the 60s through Wednesday and Thursday before low 70s return by Friday.

Additional rain chances move back in Wednesday night into Thursday.

Looking ahead to the weekend, warmer weather returns with highs climbing back into the upper 70s and 80s.
