Flood Warning issued May 18 at 8:44PM CDT until May 20 at 11:23PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas…

Stranger Creek at Easton affecting Leavenworth and Atchison
Counties.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Stranger Creek at Easton.

* WHEN…From late tonight to Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 19.5 feet, Highway 192 just east of Easton is closed
due to swift current of water over the road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 8.3 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
tonight to a crest of 19.7 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will
then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening.
– Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
