Flood Warning issued May 19 at 8:25AM CDT until May 24 at 7:16AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Missouri…

Platte River near Platte City affecting Platte County.

Tarkio River at Fairfax affecting Atchison and Holt Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Platte River near Platte City.

* WHEN…Until Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 22.0 feet, Flooding occurs at Humphreys Access Area
which is located 5 miles downstream from Platte City. 300 acres of
pasture are also flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 19.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise above flood stage late this
morning to 21.8 feet just after midnight tonight. The river will
crest near 23.2 feet early Friday afternoon. It will then fall
below flood stage Saturday morning.
– Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
