ATCHISON COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- A Tarkio man was seriously injured after he lost control of his motorcycle, began sliding and was ejected.

The 50-year-old driver of a 2017 Harley Davidson was eastbound on U.S. 136, just one mile west of Rock Port, on Sunday, when the roadway was uneven, and he crossed the center of the roadway and lost control.

The motorcycle began sliding, and the man was ejected, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash report.

The motorcycle came to rest in the westbound lanes of U.S. 136 facing north.

The man was not wearing a helmet, according to MSHP, and was transported by Atchison/Holt EMS to Grape Memorial Hospital.
