Flood Warning issued June 12 at 8:42PM CDT until June 16 at 2:05AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Missouri…

Platte River At Sharps Station affecting Platte County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Platte River at Sharps Station.

* WHEN…Until late Monday night.

* IMPACTS…At 26.0 feet, Low-lying rural land along the river begins
to flood. At 29.0 feet, Backwater from the Platte River floods
Highway KK along the Little Platte River at the location 0.2 miles
east of Highway B.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 22.8 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 27.2 feet early Sunday morning.
It will then fall below flood stage early Monday morning.
– Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
