STEWARTSVILLE, Mo (KQTV) -- Camp Courage, which is held annually at Camp Farwesta in Stewartsville, Missouri, is set to celebrate its 49th year with a fun-filled weekend.

The camp is a four-day, three-night camp experience that serves adults with special needs and gives them opportunities to meet new and old friends alike.

"I am very grateful for the community of the St. Joe and Kansas City area," Camp Director Ashley Fields said. "How they showed up even when we weren't actively searching for it. But we knew we needed the help, and it just happened."

Baskin-Robbins, Hazel's Coffee Truck, and several other sponsors will help put on the event.

The campers will arrive at Camp Courage on Thursday, June 18, and will stay until Sunday, June 21.
