Elizabeth Kennedy named interim president for Mosaic Life Care Foundation

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Mosaic Life Care announced it has named Elizabeth Kennedy as its interim president for the Mosaic Life Care Foundation.

"Dr. Kennedy is already well known to many at Mosaic and throughout our region. Her years of service on the Mosaic Life Care Board of Trustees and the Mosaic Life Care Foundation Board of Trustees give her a strong understanding of Mosaic's mission and the Foundation's role in supporting health, education and well-being in our area," Mosaic wrote in an email to KQ2.

Kennedy became Missouri Western State University's sixth president in 2021 after serving as interim president and previously as vice provost. Her career also includes academic and administrative leadership at the University of Akron.

Kennedy stepped down from her role at MoWest earlier this year.

Kennedy's background is in psychology and gerontology, and has allowed her to shape a leadership style skilled in listening and connection.

Julie Gaddie, the former president of the Mosaic Life Care Foundation, stepped down from her role at the beginning of July.
