Cameron Animal Shelter at full capacity; adoptions/fosters needed

CAMERON, Mo. (KQTV) -- Linda Griffin’s Precious Pets Cameron Animal Care Facility stated on July 23 that the program's dog and cat kennels are completely full and immediate adoption or fostering is needed.

Cameron Animal Control's Officer Georgia Drager stated that the facility is full and they have received over 20 requests for animal surrenders, pickups, and intakes.

Drager stated on social media that even if area families can not adopt, fostering animals is another helpful way to decrease the shelter population. For every adoption or foster, it can open up another kennel for an animal who may need assistance.

Due to overpopulation, the shelter is currently by appointment only for adoptions, foster inquiries, or volunteer questions.
