Kenneth Walker III ready to help bring winning ways back to Kansas City Chiefs

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) - The Kansas City Chiefs officially began their first training camp practice Wednesday morning with the full team in attendance, including all the veteran players. 

One new veteran on the Chiefs offense this team that will look to make a massive impact is reigning Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl MVP, running back Kenneth Walker III. Walker went through his first training camp practice this morning for the Chiefs and will look to bring his winning experience and mentality to a Chiefs team that's also experienced the feeling of success just a few short seasons ago.

"They want to win, you know, and they've won many Super Bowls before. You definitely you see the work ethic that's going on around here," said Walker III. "Everybody wants to compete and win we'll go out there and see how we play this season. I already heard the things about how hard it'll be, how hot it'll be out here. But I feel like that's going to get us ready for the season and the games."

"i thought he looked good today. He's working through everything. Smart kid, very diligent, wants to know everything and he's talented, so that's kind of a good combination," said Head Coach Andy Reid. "So it's just a matter of him feeling comfortable with everything and you don't do a lot of run game in this type of camp. You're in no pads. It'll be good to get the pads on where he can work on that a little bit more, but in the pass game, he's been working like crazy."
