Red Rally not to return in 2026

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- In a statement to KQ2 on Wednesday evening, Mosaic Life Care provided clarity on the 2026 status of Red Rally, which usually celebrates the beginning of Chiefs Training Camp in town.

Red Rally has been an annual staple in Civic Center Park since its debut in 2019.

Mosaic Life Care Vice President of Communications and Community Relations Joey Austin told KQ2 Wednesday evening that the event would not be returning in 2026. Austin said the event not happening this NFL season was due to the World Cup, along with other scheduling commitments their planning organization is involved in.

The only other season Red Rally was canceled was in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
