St. Joseph Goats to host Arena League championship game after defeating Nebraska

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The St. Joseph Goats kept their chances for an Arena League Championship win alive Saturday after a road win against the Nebraska Siege.

This game was neck and neck throughout, with the Goats holding a 26-24 lead at half. However, St. Joseph pulled out the win in the end, defeating the Siege 57-55.

The Goats will be facing the one-seeded Arkansas Diamonds, who are now 7-2 after a semi-final victory over Monroe by a score of 59-43.

The team told KQ2 Sunday that the Arena League has decided this championship game will take place in St. Joseph at the Civic Arena. This will be the team's first home playoff game since coming to town last season.
