ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The Missouri Department of Transportation said it will look to improve traffic signals and signage at the intersection of Buchanan County Route AC (South Riverside Road) and Pickett Road.

The improvements will take place from Aug. 17-18 during the daylight hours.

Drivers can expect the signals to be dark at the intersection and should treat it as a four-way stop.

Crews will be replacing signal cabinets, upgrading signals to include flashing yellow arrow signals for left-turning traffic and replacing signage.

MoDOT said drivers should use caution in the area and to expect delays.

MoDOT also said all work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
