(CNN) — A technical issue across Warner Bros. Discovery’s channels disrupted CNN, HBO and other channels during the noon hour on the East Coast on Monday.

CNN viewers saw scrambled screens and pixelated chaos, leading some to search social media for information about the outage.

A spokesperson called it a “technical issue across Warner Bros. Discovery,” CNN’s parent company, which also operates TNT, TBS and other channels.

The disruption apparently started shortly after 12 p.m. Eastern. On CNN, which was airing an “Inside Politics” panel on President Donald Trump’s trade war with Canada, the screen seemed to freeze and then glitch into pixelated blocks of color and fragmented on-air imagery.

Viewers may have experienced different impacts depending on the distribution platform they use.

At 12:51 p.m., “Inside Politics” anchor Dana Bash addressed the issue, telling viewers, “Welcome back and we are back. There was a technical issue across Warner Bros. Discovery’s channels that resulted in losing our signal. We’re very sorry for the interruption.”
