Gallatin farmer and Reality TV star returns after federal prison sentence

GALLATIN, Mo. (KQTV) -- The patriarch of a Gallatin, Missouri farming family and Reality TV star returned home this week.

Steve McBee Sr., the patriarch of a Gallatin, Missouri farming family and a reality TV star, returned home this week after serving less than a year in federal prison for crop insurance fraud.

McBee walked out of a federal prison in South Dakota on Friday.

The McBee Dynasty star was sentenced to two years for falsely reporting his 2018 corn and soybean crops, costing the government more than three million dollars.

However, his family says his release is about new beginnings.

His sons renovated his lodge while he was away, and he met his newborn granddaughter for the first time.

McBee posted on Instagram: "A little more appreciation for the simple things in life."
