Benton’s Porter McCarthy, Savannah’s Jagger Jackson commit to Purdue baseball

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) - Within the last week, Benton high school junior Porter McCarthy and Savannah junior Jagger Jackson have both committed to play baseball at Purdue University with the Boilermakers.

Mccarthy is ranked 10th overall in Prep Baseball Report Missouri's top 10 rankings for the class of 2028. According to the scouting report, McCarthy's swing reached a maximum velocity of 93 miles an hour.

Mccarthy competed in the PBR future games in July and was named to the 16U USA Baseball Midwest All-Region team in the same month.

For Jackson, in his sophomore season with Savannah last spring, he hit .430/.500/.673 with five home runs, nine doubles and a triple.

Jackson also played in the PBR future games.
